
Mushroom and Tofu Pot Pie
I enjoyed many exotic flavors and plenty of fresh food when I was a young teenager. But there were also diversions from typical Sephardic flavors …like pot pie – and it was usually one of those processed versions that come out of the oven piping hot. I was never quite sure what was inside until I broke the crust with my spoon. The comforting aromas filled my nostrils and I could see the creamy consistency with peas and mushrooms and probably sliced chicken.
